    is our two party's system to unite the typically fragmented leftist vote. In many country's, conservative parties are far more unified, and far more centralized because they don't represent a broad range of interest groups, but leftist parties are typically fragmented or unstable. Especially in countries like Germany, Italy, and Latin America. The strong, centralized Democratic party makes it possible for a very broad coalition to form. The moderates pull the liberals in a little bit more through their shared partisan identity and connections, while the liberals pull the moderates a little bit due to the same.
