    were actively recruited from outside, rather than within our ranks. That way, they weren't sentimental about laying off the people that those above them had determined needed to be tossed into the volcano.

    All these folks seemed to care about was making their "bonus numbers", and they didn't seem to mind serving as hand puppets for the executives. They also seemed oblivious to the lack of respect from everyone they "managed". Not surprising, when "management" was little more than tracking people's production stats on a spreadsheet.

    Those who do not understand history are condemned to repeat it... in summer school.
