    sick people buy insurance helped by thousands in subsidies, insurance rates will drop for those that could currently afford it (who will also get subsidies)

      But that's not the premise of this diary. The diary asserts that most people's rates will go up, except in NY where they'll go down, because New York had strong regs in place pre-ACA. Which somehow means that New York's regs were a good thing, because now their rates will go down.
