      If you want a gun to commit a crime, you probably don't care if it was illegal to purchase or posess that gun.

      That being said, countries with strong gun control laws tend to also control ammunition as well, which this innovation doesn't bypass.

        As the composite material gets stronger, plastic bullets will become a reality. If I had to guess I would say we are about 5 years from the first prototypes.
