  •  Mail delivery. Most of my AMZ deliveries (0+ / 0-)

    Come via USPS.

If I went shopping, I would literally drive:

    1. 30-40 miles round trip to the feed store to buy 4 bags of dog food, drop it off at the local humane society, then home. (I used to do this delivery myself. Then I realized that Amazon and USPS could do it more cost-effectively. I literally order by noon, and they get the food the same day. Crazy, huh?)

    2. 180 miles for organic specialty bread flour (round trip)

    3. 7 miles to Target and back for Toiletries and housewares

    4. 3 miles (opposite direction) to grocery store) for grocery items

    5. Drug store items 2 miles

These are the local subscribe and save items I get each month. Two deliveries.  I also have subscribe and save accounts for my mom across the state and the humane society in another state.

    4 trips total.

Plus, each of those trips, my mail guy stops at my neighbor's homes as well as mine. One person driving one truck down the street dropping off packages at many of the houses as he goes.

I don't know how you think it's more cost effective for each of us to run our own errands.

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.
