          LE can do. If he is charged and convicted of a qualifying sex crime, he's a sex offender. Given the attention and what is behind it, seems like the DA might just be very happy to throw the book at him.

          This illustrates the problem with the Military discharges of known offenders without specifying sex offenses that would require them to register. IIRC from what I read, Invisible War explains how those guys get into local communities and resume their sexual assaults. Which could be prevented or identified faster if local LE had that info. Not to mention if the military had started appropriate punishment, counseling, etc.
