    that shame and guilt resulting from the paleolithic sex-ed classes she took contributed to her submission to her captor, but it's quite a leap to go from the horrible situation she found herself in—many standard deviations from the mean—to more ordinary life experiences. Will the kids in her audience understand that she means that what happened to her is an extreme parallel to the decision of a young woman to stay with an abusive boyfriend or husband because of her shame and guilt about having had sex, and that thinking more positively about sex could help them if they are in such a situation? I hope so, but the differences between the two situations are so salient that they could obscure the message.
