      •  Barring a Repub wipe out (0+ / 0-)

in 2014, the party isn't going to be chastened into nominating him, so I stand by the idea that his better option is to try third party.

He'd have to finance from a combination of Repubs fed up with the idea of a Paul/Cruz/Rubio nominee (wealthy financial types). Remember the Koch brothers aren't concerned with social issues (one of them is gay) and they might feel comfortable with Christie. And there might be smaller donors who could get interested.

So yes, I reassert his best bet is to run as an independent.

        •  Christie will never run as an Indie (0+ / 0-)

          •  You know this how? n/t (0+ / 0-)

it's his best chance to become president, and 2016 could be a year when things align to make it possible

            •  I should have said - In my opinion (0+ / 0-)

Christy will never run as an Indie. It's much too soon to tell but if we are both active DKOS users in early 2015, when the race starts to get serious, I would be happy to place a bet. Here is my standard DKOS bet. We bet $100, or whatever you can afford, the winner picks a DKOS affiliated charity and the loser has to send the proceeds to that charity.

I am a political junkie. Making predictions is part of that. I am not always right, but I like my odds.
