  •  I blame the politicians who set the regulations (0+ / 0-)

    both at the NRC and public officials who originally set radiological standards using LNT hypothesis as its basis for public health standards.  That has done more to send the politics negative and send costs into the stratosphere resulting in more harm to nuclear power prospects in decades past than anything else.  In such a negative environment, why would the best and brightest invest their careers in something officialdom made clear it was against?

    I see the nuclear power industry poised for incredible advances if only society would get behind it.  There is so much room for innovation because true innovation was squelched a long time ago.  It is very fertile ground right now, IMHO.

    The intrinsic nature of Power is such that those who seek it most are least qualified to wield it.

      led to cost overruns and financial problems. WPPS was a case study in poor management that led to financial catastrophe.
