It's about time to really purge that Court, huh? And President Obama hasn't been able to appoint a single Justice to that Court? God help us if we lose the presidency in 2016.

    •  That's the plan. Keep the courts empty until (5+ / 0-)

got his appointment to the Appeals Court.  Someone needs to replace him and soon.

If the Senate Dems still have control, and dare to block a Republican's appointments the was the minority Republicans have, you know they will be screaming tyranny. If the Republicans get the Whitehouse and the Senate, you know damn well that the Harry Reid's replacement will not be a gutless wonder. After all, the last time that was the case, they threatened to abolish the filibuster because the Senate Dems dared to block the only worst of Bush's appointments. As in everything, the Republicans will NEVER play by the same rules they demand the Dems follow. We need some honest, liberal, Democrats in the leadership of both houses who recognize that the Republican party has largely ceased to function as a loyal opposition, and has shown it is quite willing to destroy America, as long as they can rule over the ashes.

    •  yep.... but we should keep on bashing democrats (0+ / 0-)

      cuz it FEELS good, right?

never mind what the stakes are - never mind those who really are keeping this nation from functioning - give those republicans a free pass - then watch the courts and congress if we don't get the house back and if we lose the senate - and if we lose the presidency in 2016.  i don't want to be here when that happens.

We should certainly bash Democrats that allowed these fascists to get confirmed in the first place. We should be demanding that Harry Reid end Republican obstructionism on Obama's appointments.

          •  Do what the Republicans once threatened. (0+ / 0-)

Back in the Bush era, when the Democratic minority in the Senate had the temerity to block the worst of Bush's appointments, the Republican leadership threatened The Nuclear Option(TM), ending the filibuster and holds on appointments. Reid may be better than the Republicans, but like them, he puts the interests of the political class above the needs of the people.

court, no right or protection is safe no matter how many times it has been legislated or affirmed by the courts in the past.  Pretty scary.

    •  Purging a court?!?! (0+ / 0-)

      Mind explaining that a bit?

Sounds even more lawless than the more insane Republican claims about Obama.
