  •  A real gun on a sound stage in NYC? (2+ / 0-)

I have a hard time believing anyone would allow a real gun on a crowded sound-stage in NYC no less.

I would say Mr. Colbert's schtick was highly successful, given the outrage expressed by Mr. Lyles.  Mr. Colbert tries to be offensive, brazen, gross, and scandalous; that is how he attracts his audience.

Mr. Lyles bought it hook, line, and sinker.

And, I'm not the only one. My brother had the same reaction as I did when he watched it.  it just felt a little creepy some how.

Good point about the New York sound stage environment.
No offense intended to the professionals at  The Colbert Report.

But, now a question comes to mind about the nature of good theater. How should we be properly compelled? I think I'll watch the segment again and think about that.
