  •  Are you amazed? (9+ / 0-)

Because it has been apparent for a LONG time now, that Republicans do not care how big a shit bag someone is, nor what crimes they have committed, nor how many oops "I stuck my dick into someone I should not have" moments their folks have. As long as it has a R behind the name they would vote for the worst possible person regardless.  Seemingly very often in South Carolina, a beautiful state ( I am told) with what seems a large amount of severely fucked up people in it.  They are welcome to the result of their choices, I am hoping their new shit bag Senator goes all off a walking on a new trail and finds himself another wife to fuck over, publicly once again.

What you allow, is what will continue.

he's not going to be a senator, merely a congresscritter. And the way things are in that house, he won't make much of a difference.

    •  It IS a lovely state. And lovely people as long as (5+ / 0-)

they don't talk to me about politics. Or race.

Guy once told my Democratic husband to his face (and yes, he knew who he was talking to) that all Democrats should be lined up and shot. This was at church, in the parish hall at coffee hour.

Great guy, actually. Very entertaining raconteur, knew his way around a hunting blind, super kids. Loved his wife, still do. Liked him -- until then.

As the old radio show used to intone, "One never knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men."
