  •  The next BDCP chapters will be released on 5/9. (6+ / 0-)

I am sure that it will continue driving nails into the coffin of the BDCP. Jerry's Tunnels just look more ridiculous as more data comes out. Dan, you might want to re-publish this diary as Sanford/Colbert-Busch is sucking up so much oxygen tonight.

A couple of weeks ago, I purchased two copies of the "Over Troubled Waters" DVD. I have been been lending them to campers in the RV park. Great reviews have been coming back. This morning I was told, "I watched it 3 times last night. I kept getting interrupted and I wanted to make sure I saw it all"! "It had outstanding production and really got the message across"

If you got a spare 20 spot and want to see a great documentary about the CA Delta and our water issues - http://overtroubledwaters.org/...

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.

I have spammed this around a bit, bit here seems the best place to do it again:
Delta tunnel project to radically change Sacramento County landscape
and this lays out the detailed damage this will cause directly.

Somebody else said that it also accessed the underlying aquifer, so that little detail hasn't made the press that I have seen yet.

Also, the northern cities and the tribes are getting organized against this as they are the last in line and already are seeing the allotments dwindle...and the Feds have given up on raiding the unregulated and out of control greed based MJ back country watershed growing: now there has been this spring record soil sales, a direct measure of the lack of enforcement: the Feds have obligations to the tribes that they are not upholding, letting their water supply be stolen and poisoned is really way too far. This tunnel plan is part of that whole.
