    but I note that the earliest use of "Borking" as a verb that I can find comes from the book The Real Anita Hill, the hit job written by David Brock before he came to his senses. It was a reference to Bork's failed Supreme Court nomination.

      I was using the Advanced Search feature of Google Books for this. The results are informative but not definitive -- especially since I did not examine every hit.
