I have an unlimited food budget. I toss some fruit almost every week as it goes bad before I eat it. It even happens with veggies on occasion. I've been known to buy a box of Honey Nut Cherrios. That shit can sit in the pantry for a year and still be edible.

I'm guessing the point is obvious. A limited food budget just doesn't allow for expensive food that goes bad quickly. Hell, SNAP isn't enough to even buy expensive food and decent fresh fruit and veggies are expensive.

Oh, and I haven't even touched on the hypocrisy of 'checking' a grocery list, but not registering a gun.
