    what all that strange language means.

    They all talk like that.

    And the angels help you when you try to figure out a Massachusetts road sign too (if you can even find one).

    When I was in Boston, my local guide demanded I be first to turn left when the light changed (this is not the law, nor driver courtesy, most places).

    He said I'd never get in a left turn across traffic if I didn't, and the drivers behind would honk at me for holding up THEIR first-burst left turn too. He was right on both counts...

    A hairy place to drive, and no place to try to navigate after dark.

    Yet the people there are great, and highly informed.

    And the chowder is too (great, and highly informed).

    I mean "chowda"...
