wouldn't the DNC run that same ad with footage of the GOP slashing funding for diplomatic security the year before it happened?   Hell, they could run the RNC spot, cut to a Narrator describing their motives over a still shot of Boehner bringing down his gavel, then cut to the news items showing HC storming out of the meeting when they were in the process of gutting the security budget.

The reason the GOP is still alive is because the Dem leadership wants it so.  The right has a full time fiction-writing team that pumps out these bogus conspiracy fantasies like so much popcorn and the Dems treat it like they're in a high school debating tournament.  And Harry Reid is proclaiming in his frightened tremolo: "This will not stand!" Hopefully the cameras won't catch the damp spot on his pant legs.

Start calling these bastards liars, murderers and thieves, you neoliberal cowards, and treating them as such.  Because that's what they are and what's left of "civilization" is at stake, for fuck's sake.

Hold on.  Word just in.  The Dems aren't cowards.  They're just following the orders that came down from Wall Street:

A New New Deal isn't going to happen and we need the nutbags to keep us grounded on the Reefs of Reagan (where the partyin' is craaazy!) - A note to the ninnies: a little turbulence is to be expected when you give the pit bulls extra chain; suck it up.

"Well, yeah, the Constitution is worth it if you succeed." - Nancy Pelosi // Question: "succeed" at what?

The Dems, ostensibly the good guys, need an enemy. People keep wondering why Dems aren't more aggressive, it's because they want the republican party to survive.
