Pittsburgh v. Baltimore, with Roberto Clemente leading the charge.  Dad, who'd loved the Pirates ever since he'd cut school to sneak into Forbes Field in the 1920s and 1930s (he actually saw one of Babe Ruth's last games, when he was playing for the Boston Braves), was in seventh heaven.

Back in the 1980s, Greensboro, NC, had a minor league team called the Greensboro Hornets. I went to a game once and the opposing team had a player named Roberto Clemente, Jr. I think I remember that he struck out. I'm pretty sure he never made it to the major leagues.
