    Additionally, many of those green jobs aren't going to coal regions because the politicians and economic development officials aren't trying to attract anything other than more coal jobs. So, we can't wait or count on local action to bring those jobs to mining regions. It will take a federal bailout of coal country that targets clean energy jobs specifically to impoverished coal mining regions. It will have to be done in spite of, and sometimes over the objections, of coal country leaders who are holding their regions back.
    Next week I'll finish and post a blog on this.

      Elections are. Until we break the hold of local office holders, W. VA and other retro states will keep progressive laws from being passed.

      First and foremost we have to convince the locals that we can replace the coal jobs with other living wage jobs.

      That's the only way to really implement Change!

      It’s the Supreme Court, stupid! Followed by: It's always the Supreme Court! Progressives will win only when we convince a majority that they, too, are Progressive.
