focused on issues, especially you and some other FP'ers, no insult intended. Better Democrat's seem hard to get elected as the powerful people who run and own our party pretty much do not support real populist Democratic candidates.

The established party has a vested interest in keeping the blue dogs, conservadems, Third Way'ers what ever you call these D corrupt machine pols. I meant no disrespect but fear,  marketing strategies, poll numbers and data alone cannot get either returning voters or better Dems. As your sig line says it's what they do once elected that voters care about.  It's about actual democratic representation, you know the common good.

The roots be they net or grass seem stuck they have nothing but more of the same to offer because they do not have any power and more importantly not enough money to compete with the likes of assorted billionaires from Big Dirty Energy to Healthcare for profit or the freaking war spook machine. Meanwhile the Dems play good cop to the bad cop and yet even when we win  we still end up under the thumb of injustice be it economic, or your civil and human rights.

I say better Dems cannot get any power or even elected until we repudiate the current 'by-partisan' lot who control the party. I have a great senator in Jeff Merkley and then again I'm stuck with Wyden the by-partisan weasel. Is he a better Democrat then Reid,  Baccus, Landrieu, or The DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Shultz?   I somehow cannot believe that the current Democratic Party at this point  has any intention of letting better Dems who are liberal or just better Dems have any power or support.

Of course some of us ARE focused on issues but what are we going to do to get these better Dems elected if we don't stand up to the BS double speak and policy offered up as better by the Democratic Party Machine.  What keeps getting pumped out by this administration and our messed up congress is not about representation, the common good  or ordinary peoples survival, or even our national interest.

It's about telling people this is reality and this is all your gonna get. So vote for us or else you get the vagina prober's or total Ayn Randains in power and implementing their agenda, worse then our agenda. At what point do we Democrat's say this is not what democracy or Democratic looks like and stop having our votes extorted out of fear of the maniacs Obama cut deals with?
