"The crazier, the better."  Trust me, Republicans in Oklahoma have the craziest ideas about the presidency of Barack Obama of anyone in the country.  Kos's Wingnuta-Palooza weekend diary just barely scratches the surfaces of the rampant lunacy in Oklahoma.

"In this world of sin and sorrow there is always something to be thankful for; as for me, I rejoice that I am not a Republican." - H. L. Mencken

high school, and the Senator when he was the mayor, so I'm aware of what a disaster he is.

But, I'm starting to think about Senators (and other state-level politicians as well) as everybody's business. I have contributed to senatorial races, in particular, across the country because I've come to understand that a Democratic senator in any state helps to offset Inhofe's senate vote. But, because of the peculiar rules of the Senate, Inhofe has been able to stymie both good legislation and good presidential appointments. I'd like to see a nation-wide movement to retire him. I've even wondered what it would take to buy him out of the Senate. He's a fairly cheap whore. The bribes that buy him now don't amount to all that much money. Anyway, it's a dream I have.
