  •  Too short (7+ / 0-)

I knew Guatemalan refugees in Nicaragua in 1984-85, and the stories they told me about the horrors taking place in their country went beyond bloodcurdling.  The widow who found her disappeared husband's head on her doorstep one morning.  The army recruits forced to slaughter and eat dog to break their scruples.

    I could go on.

Rios Montt personifies evil.  Any jail term is too short.

When the union's inspiration /Through the workers' blood shall run /There can be no power greater /Anywhere beneath the sun /Solidarity Forever!
