  •  FDR was also (8+ / 0-)

higher up on the evolutionary ladder (2.7 versus Reagan at 1.4 - which is around the level most modern presidents outside of Carter have achieved).  He was of a time time when Masonry (which  teaches a more benevolent and cosmic approach toward life) was considered important to the pillars of society and a good background experience for becoming president.  Which gives a clue why it has been ground into the dirt by fear mongers and materialists.

As one spiritually evolves the concept of taking solely for fulfilling personal desires and lust for power loses its magnetic appeal while the concern for the well being of others and for putting the needs of others before yourself grows.  Speaking truth in word and action becomes what is important in life - often like in the case of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. or John F Kennedy at the cost of their lives.

    •  Hard to take any scale seriously (0+ / 0-)

      •  Power can be used for good or evil (0+ / 0-)

All along the spiritual path, there are those that fall, including those who have attained the status Jesus did in his most well-known life.  Up through the point of development which Hitler attained, progress can be made through sheer wielding of the will.  After that, little progress can be made without accepting and embodying the principle of Divine Love.  Which is a clue to why FDR acted so differently than other democratic presidents of our time. Hitler will pay his price for the misuse of power for millions of years.  Karma, a precise science, must be paid.
