    you're not afraid of heights, climbers are afraid of you. It's natural to be afraid, and considering the reason, it's crazy not to be. Crazy people make poor climbing partners.

      going camping and white water rafting with a buddy in a few weeks. College roommate from like 1988. We've done some class 4 rapids. At first I thought it was a joke it was dangerous. I learned it wasn't a joke.

      We are going out to do some even more than we have done in the past. You got to respect "mother fucking nature." She can be a cruel bitch.

      That's what I teach- that most fears are there for a reason- they keep us safe.  To be extra cautious, to think a little more before acting, to be aware.

      We have a small (5 feet) 'rock wall' on the playground, and the kids love it and climb up to the bridge that leads across to the slide.

      I 'hate' having wall duty.  Much prefer the sandbox.
