      I think it was a Tupolev dc9 clone, and was astonished when they shut down one engine around 3000 feet, and continued to climb to Level 30 on one engine.

      I guess the thought was to reduce engine hours to minimise maintenance costs, but they were sure beating the shit out of the engine that was running. Took about 40 minutes to reach cruise altitude.
