    I started to expound as to my reasoning for why we have such low rates of travel, but was in a bit of a push for time, so skipped it.

    Actually, my 'criticism' was leveled at the MSM for their shoddy, corporatist propaganda, oops, reporting, LOL!

    At any rate, as the pieces that I link to demonstrate, I didn't mean to belittle Americans (or anyone) for not traveling outside of the country.

    I personally love to travel, and do so as often as I can, but not always as often as I'd like to.

    Frankly, I don't personally know anyone who doesn't like to travel.  It is almost always a matter of having the time, and/or whether or not one 'can afford' to travel.

    I hope that these two pieces will clarify a bit 'why' we have this phenomenon in the United States. ;-)

    And, if the Administration's "Grand Bargain" is passed, we should all brace for even more off-the-charts inequality here (and lack of travel outside of the US).
