recommending it. Started thinking about how it could be accomplished, and went on a general downer, coming up with all the 'reasons' why it couldn't happen. Decided not to bother recommending it. Caught myself.

Decided that there was something wrong with the way I was thinking if I couldn't respond to a call for imagining a better future. Because, damnit, I know that you have to start with imagining things if you're ever going to get them built. And just because I can't see how to get from here to there doesn't mean there aren't various ways to do it.

So - tipped and rec'd, and I'll spend some time brushing the dust off an imagination I thought was working pretty well up until ten minutes ago.  Thank you.

At least half the future I've been expecting hasn't gotten here yet. Sigh.... (Yes, there's gender bias in my name; no, I wasn't thinking about it when I signed up. My apologies.)

I struggle with the hopelessness of everything, and get caught up with the day-to-day struggle of the issue of the moment, and what I really want to do is get in touch with the way I think the world really should be and go shout it from the mountain. For now Kos is my mountain.

The folks at the US Basic Income Guarantee (usbig.net) just had a conference on the issue in NYC that I just missed, and in Europe there's a whole petition campaign on it, so there are some folks trying to find a way to get there from here....
