    Law enforcement entities want as much information for their investigations as they can legally obtain.  I doubt Holder is doing anything that any other AG wouldn't do.  The DOJ wanted to know who was leaking national security information so they subpoena'd the AP's phone logs from the phone company. It sounds like they were operating within the bounds of the law.  I guess we'll have to wait and see what other information emerges in order to understand the situation beyond that.
