    It is legitimate to question, for example, whether the cost and effort to maintain coastal cities can be justified as water levels frise.

    It is legitimate to ask whether it is better to move people out of places like Arizona to places like Minnesota or even cross borders to a place like Saskatchewan.  If it's ok to cross a border for a job, it must be ok to cross a border because one's former home has become hell.

    At this point, CO2 levels are still rising.  Given the time that CO2 remains in the atmosphere, once things get really bad, they are likely to stay that way for a century or more.

    There are no cheap and easy short-term solutions.  Just short-term survival and long-term mitigation.

    Unless we want to get into geo-engineering, which, come to think of it , is neither cheap nor easy.
