Because it happened to be a right-wint organization it automatically lends itself to right-wing outrage by default.

So, what is the IRS supposed to do? Not audit faux charitable right-wing organizations for fear of right-wing outrage?

Seems, once again, Obama runs for cover behind and sides with the bullies right from the get-go. No doubt, some good, dedicated progressives will be on the firing line.

... is go to a White House-sponsored organization if they want to dig up political dirt.  Three days after Obama voted for FISA fiasco '08 after he said he would not do so a second time, Obama said he would not only renew Dumbya's 'office of faith-based initiatives,' but he'd increase the funding for it if he were elected.  [Watching C-SPAN and the news that week took its toll on my outrage meter; this was the final straw of non-support for Obama for me.  Between his lack of support for investigating Dumbya and Dickie's war crimes and lies which Obama said in '07 he would not do, this FISA and 'office of faith-based initiatives' support in the same week was the exasperating straw.  Also put on my permanent $h!t list that week was Nancy Pelosi.  After her 'taking impeachment off the table' the year before and then allowing this p.o.s. dead legislation to come back to life one Friday morning by surprise, she will permanently be on my $h!t list.  Nancy Pelosi has proven to me that women can be as cravenly and politically stupid as men.]

This is the perfect bipartisan storm of tax dollars being used against private citizens, constitutional violations (mixing religion in government, violating separation of church and state, influence-peddling to sway one or more groups of people to vote for one political party over another), and one political-religious group bribing or coercing lawmakers into passing misogynistic laws that violate civil rights and personal privacy.

I double-dog dare, no - triple-f##king-dog-dare - the IRS (and FBI and CIA and DoJ) to investigate this motley crew (independently investigate, not just gloss it over because it's managed by the White House):

White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships

OFBCI was established by President George W. Bush through executive order[2] on January 29, 2001, representing one of the key domestic policies of Bush's campaign promise of "compassionate conservatism."
