  •  Oh, I'm sorry (0+ / 0-)

that I can't afford a $600,000 condo walking distance from my downtown office. I just want to get to work, and with no good public transportation options my 7 mile commute takes 45 minutes. Fuck me, right? I'm the problem and not the "green" movement shutting down all new development on Nuclear power plants keeping us stuck sucking down coal?

What was that saying about the forest and the trees...?

    •  Really? You work in an office (0+ / 0-)

that's surrounded by 7 miles of $600K condos in all directions?

Where in the world do you work?

I agree, though, that that is a problem and that it points to the need for leadership. We built a whole country on the premise that we could consume cheap gas without limit. We made it hard for people to do otherwise. But that doesn't mean we can't change, or that because it's hard we should just give up and accept the end of civilization as we know it.

Plus I don't think environmentalists are keeping nuclear down. People with no political power tend not to be able to stop moneyed industries.
