that she managed her campaign poorly, with a flotilla of lame overpaid advisers and an early sense of entitlement/fait accompli.

Speaking-wise, she was good far more often than not, especially in town hall settings; she was actually (I thought) superior to Obama in her ability to connect with the questioner and speak earnestly and on-point in response.

...I meant her as a person, actually out on the stump. I agree that she did well speaking one-on-one with questioners. I'm talking about the big hall speeches where her voice has to go loud and carry.

Again, theatrics, not actual policy or operations.

Many women (and higher-voiced men) have that disadvantage, which can be overcome with practice and coaching.

I know a female clergy member who is awesome at this -- she would have had Hillary's problem with voice projection if she hadn't figured out how to solve it.  This minister, she knows how to step closer to the mic and speak even more low, softer and a little slower also, with absolute measured deliberation and a determined gaze in her eyes, when she wants to really drive a point home.  Her audience always listens, rapt attention, even leaning in with their bodies.
