      But do you think she's really gets it on a gut level?  She's never wanted for anything in her life.  She may do a lot for refugees, etc, but then she goes back to her 5 star hotel and designer handbags.

        mentions below, many insurance companies are covering the test and surgery.  And it is true that Ms. Jolie can afford any sort of treatment or surgery, but, really, what is the point of your comment?  She did not have to write this; she did not have to disclose her decision or the bare naked facts of her surgery.  She could have kept the whole thing private.  She's rich, she does have designer handbags.  But she chose to disclose this and chose to do so in a public way to help other women.  

        And her help for children and refugees?  I don't always agree with her politics, but I don't begrudge her for her activism.

        Why the cynicism?  She did a good thing today.

          disclosure is to point out the vast disparity in health care options between the rich and the poor.
