    that would "keep it from being as bad . . .".  It's all pointless "look at me I'm doing something" stuff, where the "something" just doesn't matter . . . it's done solely for the attention/feel-good.

    At this point I'm not sure what you want "the media" to report . . . it's a "done deal", all the precursors of catastrophic climate change are baked into the system already, and minor twiddling won't fix it.  There is no political will to make any change that would matter, and people just don't want to hear about it . . . they (correctly) assess that there's nothing they can do about it anyway.  The only useful media programming at this point would be "how to harden your house" survivalism . . . which would be popular only because of all the other baggage (including "buy a Bushmaster") that would come along with it.  I'm not sure that would be considered an improvement over the present situation.
