and there will be a deadline for the charade of raising the ceiling.  Why do I feel like we're all getting played?  Congress has its Constitutional authority but refusing to pay the bill for the spending that THEY already approved is a joke.  Congress always has the power to spend less but flight delays and a million other snafus give the truth away. Spending goes to programs that people want and need. Revenues can't be raised because Grover. Who?

    It's just maddening.

and we have been for a long time. It took me a really long time to realize that but I began to realize it about a year after the 2006 election.  Two wings of the corporate party.  We're in a bad way.  Everything that gets done ultimately benefits the people (the 1%) who own the vast majority of our government.  We need a movement.

and dices it.   If the Democrats don't prove themselves now, it doesn't matter what anyone says anymore because the final result is always the same, namely the other party gets its way.  If that's the way it's going to be every time, then why do we need Democrats?  The only reason is to keep the Republicans from running amok. And a lot of their people aren't real happy with them either.  Time for a fresh start.
