    Lobbying or politics. (C)(4) is different, and IS allowed to do politics, though not individual candidate campaigns, afaik.

      That is why the Mormon and Catholic churches could spend nearly unlimited amounts on defeating Prop 8 without any risk of their tax exempt status.
