  •  I'm rec'ing because this is an important story (5+ / 0-)

but I really wish you'd re-think your last paragraph.  Turning this into yet another call-out, my team vs. your team diary distracts from the issue.  It would be nice if we could actually talk and think about this without it being reduced to just another pie fight.

    •  Let's get this straight... (24+ / 0-)

...Jesselyn Radack took an incredible amount of shit--undeservedly so--in the comments in a couple of posts today. The folks shitting on "progressives" in this community--something that's been an ongoing issue for a very long time here--are quite shameless.

Again, as I've said on many occasions of late, anyone that attempts to refine "conversation," or dictate the dialogue, for that matter, in this community--from the owner of it on down--to a "ROX" vs. "SUX" environment is guilty of dumbing down the conversation. It's juvenile. And, it's shameful.

and honestly, I don't think the ending of your diary is particularly egregious.  But I do think it cheapens the story to make it about other Kossacks, even obliquely.  The rec-list is populated right now by call-out diaries whose authors care more about a comment by some random Kossack than they do about the administration seeking to intimidate whistle-blowers.  This story is more important than what goes on here, and the rest of your diary is better than that.

who I suspect will become disinterested in politics and/or Democratic Party politics on January 20, 2017. They'll just disappear from here. If the site survives that long.
