  •  The Bill Was Launched by the Greatest Generation. (4+ / 0-)

Our first conservative Democratic President who began financial deregulation was Carter, when boomers were still mostly busy with young families.

Same as it wasn't the "greatest" generation that passed the Marshall Plan and the GI Bill. The period they're famous for was at that time but it was their parents who passed the landmark policies.

The mathematical fact is that the economic high water mark of the American people, compared to the 1%, occurred in 1968 during the period boomers were still teens. That was a hell of an ideal but to link it to that time is not to credit the boomers with it. Boomers couldn't even vote at that time.
