I thought that one was the least troublesome, but then again, I'm used to presidents using government agencies to target their political enemies :)  What the wingers don't realize is that it's not only the tea party who are the enemy of the 1%.

That tweet above says it all for me:

Well yes, Rep. Raul Labrador, leftist groups were targeted too. Conservatives had to fill out a ton of paperwork. Leftists were teargassed.
You also have to remember that you're one of a fairly small percentage of people in this country who has the first f'ing clue what is going on.  So things that don't shock us because we've been aware of them for years are truly shocking to others who are fed a steady diet of propaganda via the corporate media.

I remember when I started finding alternative news sites and blogs, and I can't remember how many "are you f'ing kidding me!?" moments I had.  I didn't grow up reading Mother Jones, The Nation, and the like. My family was (and still is) very mainstream.  My spur of the family is the oddball spur.  I think they are a bit fascinated by us (me and my kids).  Social media allows them to become sort of like voyeurs.  Every so often a "like" or a comment shows up.  Other than that, not much contact and certainly no help was given when we were really struggling,  It's really weird.

    •  That's funny about your extended family (8+ / 0-)

being perplexed with you and your kids.  I get that all the time too. My brothers only watch TV news (no web or blogs). They rarely boot up their computer. And they feel they are very well informed because they watch the news for 30 mins every night. I try to tell them where the MSM leads them astray, but mostly they think I'm listening to Anarchists and Brian Williams would never lie.

Sometimes I get that sense that I'm always outside looking in. And probably always will be.

Yeah, I know he said Change. But c'mon, Cuts to Social Security?! This is not the Change I was looking for.
