    Because I must be looking right past your reporting.

    I used a BLS page (http://data.bls.gov/... then change the years) to generate a chart of the employment percentage from 1964 to 2013, and it reminds me that there are many factors involved.  Women moving into the workplace, wars, recessions, outsourcing, exploding wealth disparity, etc.  So I'm not sure my favorite statistic is that helpful, either.

    1964; ~ 55%
    2000: ~ 63%
    2013: ~ 58%

    •  IIRC Women saw real wage growth since (0+ / 0-)

      the early 1970's. While all workers and male full time year round workers did not keep up with inflation. Women used to earn 60 something cents on the male dollar, now its mid 70%?
