    In attitudes about adoption.  It is considered an entitltlement by women who are infertile because of the enormous pressure put on them to mother, as if their sense of worth is determined by being a mother.  Infertility is a disease or an affliction for which there is sometimes no cure.  It needs to be grieved and accepted much as one would do with the loss of a limb.  I am hard pressed to think of any medical condition other than infertility where the afflicted would ask for another human to donate that which she is missing.
