    The Man Who Saved the Union: Ulysses Grant in Peace and War so I do know of Champion Hill, but I neglected to notice the anniversary. Thanks for pointing it out and thanks for the diary. Grant was the true military genius of the Civil War and our country owes him the same honor we have bestowed on Washington and Pershing: six stars.
