deems the connection between rBGH in milk and cancer to be inconclusive.  Here's a link.

That being said, the problem during that time period (and now) is that there are conflicting studies.  The fact that Monsanto felt the need to bribe two reporters and that a "news" thingy covered up an actual investigative report should cause concern about the milk we drink and the news  we are fed.

is entirely wholesome. A robust immune system is advisable before consuming.

is run too much like a business. Is their incentive to prevent cancer or make sure they increase donations?

rBGH is not that there were conflicting studies. it is that our laboratories and scientists in this nation are mostly under the thuimb of Big Industry, which employs the researchers, or funds the universities. So these "scientists" keep in mind who is signing their paychecks, and they willing distort and cherry pick the data.

It is irrelevant how many studies are done that prove something is safe, if those studies are all done at the behest and bequest of Big Industry. What is valuable for the lay person is finding  even one decent indie scientist thar can create a study using International Protocols and then determine the products risk to benefit or lack thereof.

The last time that I know that happened in this country was in 1998-1999 when governor Davis apopointed a Blue Ribbon Panel that looked into the safety of MTBE, the gas additive. Luckily for the citizens of the state of Calfiornia, the Governor Davis knew the one of very few scientists out there taht wouldn't be bought and paid for by Big Oil.And so John Froines handled that study, with his chosen colleagues, and they determined that there was NO benefit but plenty of risk for the product MTBE.

SO the state legislature went ahead and banned MTBE.

Please Note: By the time Froines' panel had weighed in on the matter, there were over 1,000 industry-studies, all of which said that MTBE was safe. Froines and his colleagues offered  the only study in this country that said it was not safe! I had to, as an indie reporter, listen to all these lobbyists and spokespeople lying through theiri teeth and telling the legislature that MTBE was so safe, based on this or that study, that they would let their kids brush their teeth with it. But what was important about froines's study was that he was independent of the MTBE industry.

For his troubles, Governor Davis was recalled, and Schwartzennegger, getting a lot of Big Oil money to help him, became the replacement governor.

Also there was a documentary that was done on the rGHB crappola product. And in Canada, some researchers (or maybe it was legislators) were approached by people with monies from  Monsanto to help ensure that the rGHB product for the cows be approved. And fortunately for the people of Canada, those people instead ratted out Monsanto for doing this.
