My PhD adviser once told me, "Never give a dollar to a dummy" before I went to work overseeing research contracts and grants. Unfortunately, the geniuses like him that developed the first nuclear reactors and did the physics and chemistry to make nuclear power possible, handed over the results of their brilliant work to dummies like the present governor of North Carolina.
