    major hurdles is they will lose as often as they win, and that can get very expensive in these things...These companies have the best attorneys money can buy, and many former regulators on staff when possible, meanwhile, the govenrment does not attract the best of the best due to limited budgets. Money buys justice in this country, and absic cost benefit analysis, though scummy, makes settling look far more appealing based on the numbers in most cases. Not that I'm trying to defend these thieves, but it's just reality.

      warranted. What they aren't is helpful. Justice simply doesn't have the money to pay hundreds of lawyers to prosecute the banks, and that's not going to change no matter what Sen. Warren says.

      They tortured people to get false confessions to fraudulently justify our invading Iraq.

        the Criminals of Wall Street. Just a few good ones. Spitzer should be appointed a special prosecutor. Watch Wall Street whine then.

        civil and criminal cases in this country a pled out anyways, even involving the middle class and poor. Obviously not as often as this circumstance, but plea bargains and settlements are abundant in our justice system.
