  •  The term "civil disobedience" tells us that (0+ / 0-)

the issue is compliance with the culture of obedience, which is, of course, inherently abusive. Liberty precludes coerced obedience.  "Civil disobedience" is a euphemism in that the functional element, the use of force to coerce, is conveniently left out. "Disobedience" alone is a dysphemism in the sense of making something good sound bad. Abusers at all levels and of all kinds are to be disobeyed. However, disobedience is not an effective response because the abuser's object is to injure, deprive and disrupt, so, in risking additional injury, the victim becomes the abuser's tool. Resistance causes more injury. That's why an outside intervention is called for. The citizens of North Carolina cannot resist their deprivators on their own.
It should also be pointed out that generous people find it hard to understand what deprivators are about. They do not know, cannot imagine, why someone would deprive them of assets and resources they already have or don't want for themselves. Generous people do not realize that it is their generosity and lack of suspicion which makes them ideal victims for the deprivators. Innocents are victimized because they are not wary or prepared to fight off the attack.
Why do some humans attack their own kind seemingly out of the blue? Why did Cain slay Abel? Jealousy or envy, augmented by frustration into wrath. That so many abusive legislators are also incompetent is probably not a coincidence.

We organize governments to deliver services and prevent abuse.
