  •  Bill Clinton has said that the overblown (16+ / 0-)

GOP reaction to his scandals resulted in such time-wasting and distraction that he was not able to pursue OBL as much as he wanted to. Would 911 have happened if the GOP had not been focused on nothing but scandal for the eight years of the Clinton administration? We'll never know. But the GOP certainly does not take the responsibilities of the president to do his job very seriously, and that could have eventual repercussions in terms of loss of American lives.

    •  Republicans prefer obstructing Dem Presidents... (10+ / 0-)

...over governing, regardless of complex times that call for reasonable achievable solutions. The pattern is history now and the consequences are great for the country - now the world, given US role in global stability. The world needs an agile competent US and what do we get? Nonsense.

The unpopular and endless hysterics of tiresome GOP obstruction hacks like Graham and Issa simply have to push Americans over their limit at some point.  Americans - outside of Washington DC, at least - are busy! Giving attention to one after another boy-crying-wolf episode from Graham, Issa, McConnel, Boehner and the rest of them is out of control and the media is acting like barkers at a side show.

Their pay should be garnished. We need triggers that automatically freeze paychecks when Congress goes into the pocket veto type coup mode.

petulance results in the general electorate adopting a "Pox on both their houses" rather than a well deserved pogrom on Republicans and their childish destruction of what they can't have.

would not have happened had not the Serbian leadership perceived Bill Clinton as a President who would soon be impeached and removed from office and, therefore, not worth worrying about.
