Yoga can help with so many situations.  I just started it about 2 years ago for arthritis in my core.  It's near my heart.  Suffice to say, it's healing more than just my mobility.

I've stopped smoking for 16 years now.  It took many attempts.  I can't say what finally "helped"... other than I got sick of it.  I had always managed to "quit" while pregnant and never smoked in the house with the kids.... all these little denials of doing "well" kept me from stubbing out the butts for good.

I never had a problem with being around smokers - like at work.  But after seeing all the filth and sludge come out of my dying mother's mouth just as she died... and knowing that as she was in her final years and on oxygen, she still was able to sneak in cigarettes.  She couldn't wipe her own bottom for the last 8 years of her life, but she could get someone to bring her her cancer sticks.

I can no longer stand the stench of smokes.

I just went through all her storage items.  Most had to be thrown away or put in recycle due to the damage from all the smoke and nicotine.  Tupperware turns into a ooey gooey mess.  Can poke your finger through it.  Linens all yellow, not from age but from tar.  Everything she owned has a burn mark on it... or a smell or a stain.

I'm so happy that there is help for you all here.  Breaking the chain is so hard.  Be kind to yourselves.  Let others support you in this hard, hard step to true freedom and better living.
