    ...detail on the Shield Law. Frankly, the Shield Law is pretty much irrelevant when it comes to this AP episode. National security laws trump the matter. And, the most-likely-passable version of any new attempt at invoking the Shield Law is so narrow in its definition of the term, "journalist," it sets the blogosphere and most other freelance journalists back to the early 1990's, in terms of their constitutional rights to report upon the news. But, more about that to come...

      Obama is just playing politics here. He likes things just the way they are and intends to do whatever he can to keep it that way.
