...if the couple (and kids) moved out of state? Maybe we should start a relocation project to get the family the hell out of Texas.
Maybe we should get some of Texas the hell out of Texas!

Let's change that Red to Blue...or Purple, at the very least. It's probably cheaper (and better) to do that than keep moving families out.

Other than that, I share your view and your frustration.

I was thinking short-term for the good of the family and all that...and it looks like that likely wouldn't work anyway judging from the posts below. (IANAL and don't even play one on TV, and my only court dealings have been in the context of jury duty.)

I do agree with your sentiments though -- those kids might be out of college before marriage equality is a reality in Texas unless SCOTUS actually scrounges up enough change in the sofa cushions to buy a clue or we get a dramatic change in the court makeup before 2017. (Not that I wish death on any of the RATS, but if Scalia and Alito ate some bad manicotti that gave them a case of perpetual flatulence that caused them to resign, I'd be satisfied.)

something, anything to help!!  I also understand the need to take the long view for the good of the state and the rest of the country.

I really, really, REALLY like the idea of Scalia and Alito having a case of 'perpetual flatulence' that causes them to resign!!  And if they take that sad excuse Thomas with them...so much the better!

        •  In addition to the current perpetual flatulence (0+ / 0-)

we're subject to now from these right wing a-hole jurists?  Coming out of one end or the other, someone still suffers.
